Making a half batch? Pour it into a small glass, and the steep time stays the same. Amounts in the steps are halved and highlighted too. Pan size and times stay as written.
Recipe Steps
Steep the dried jasmine flowers in hot water for 3 minutes, allowing the floral essence to infuse the water.
Add the dehydrated lime slices to the jasmine-infused brew, letting them steep together for an additional 2 minutes. Set it aside to cool.
In a separate mixing cup, pour in the simple syrup, adjusting the amount according to your preferred sweetness.
Add the cold water to the mixing cup containing the simple syrup.
Gradually sprinkle the matcha powder into the cold water and syrup mixture. Whisk vigorously until the matcha powder is fully dissolved and the liquid turns a vibrant green, ensuring a smooth and clump-free texture.
If you have a soda maker, carbonate some fresh water to add a fizzy, refreshing twist to the drink. If not, you can use store-bought sparkling water as a convenient and effective substitute.
Place the ice cubes in your serving glass.
Carefully pour the matcha mixture into the glass first, followed by the cooled jasmine and lime tea, and finally, top it off with the carbonated water.
Note: Pour each component slowly to maintain distinct layers that create an appealing visual gradient effect in the glass.
For a finishing touch, garnish the drink with a slice of dehydrated lime on top. Gently stir the drink. Now, it's ready to be enjoyed!
